It's a lovely accommodation and only a few steps to the slopes. The staff from Whistler Platinum were always friendly and helped us in any matter immediately.
Quiet location close to skiing and villageUnit 61 is on the second level of the building, so is a good walk from the parking garage, with lots of stairs. However, its corner location makes for lots of quiet. The unit was attractively furnished and very clean. One thing that we wished we had known is that the unit started life as a one bedroom. The second bedroom (with the peaked roof) is really just a loft that was added later. It is open to the living room, and is therefore not private or quiet, especially if anyone is watching TV. Also, be aware that you must check out by 10 am (we had cleaners knocking on our door by 9:30!) and that you can't leave your car in either the garage or the parking area. You must move to a day lot and pay if you wish to ski before leaving town.
Made our weekend bliss.Booking from the other side of the world can be stressful. Not with WhistlerPlatinum. Everything was above and beyond. Helpful and cheery, nothing was a problem - and they delivered. All the staff we dealt with were superb which put us in such a positive frame of mind when we arrived. The Gables was great - we had an early check in, yet it was ready and waiting. Warm and clean. Plenty of space for the four of us and everything we needed. 100m from the Blackcomb base and 200m from Whistler along easy walkways - what a position, and yet quiet.
Felt like homeThis place was cozy, fantastically kept, great amenities and so **** close to the blackcomb lifts. Staying here was delightful, and I will consider it when I come back. AND I WILL COME BACK!
